“But you just said—”
Winter’s head snapped up, and he narrowed his eyes on Fox, silencing any additional words. “I know what I said. What I meant is that I don’t fuck people I know.” Everything about Winter’s stance screamed back off. From his closed, mutinous expression to his arms folded tightly across his chest, it was like he was doing everything to push Fox away. And that just made Fox want to climb inside of him even more. “Anonymous hookups in dark hotel rooms. I never see their face, and they never see mine.” He leaned in close, his teeth clenched as he said, “They only feel my cock in their ass, and when they’re coming harder than they’ve ever come in their lives, I sink in my teeth and take their blood.”
All thought completely shut down in Fox’s brain. His mouth went completely dry and there was the strangest squeaking noise that he refused to believe came from him. “Why is that the hottest thing I’ve ever heard?” Fox asked in a harsh whisper. “I’m serious, so fucking hot.”
Closing his eyes, Fox watched the whole scene flicker across his brain. A dark, no-name motel room. Fox was naked in the center of the bed on all fours, his ass in the air. Winter’s too sexy figure gliding soundlessly across the room. His ears would be straining to hear anything over the rapid pounding of his heart. Then two strong hands would grip his ass cheeks, spreading them—
“Are you kidding me?” Winter snapped, forcing Fox’s eyes open.
Had he moaned? Yeah, he’d probably moaned out loud.
“What? It’s hot. You’re hot.”
“But you wouldn’t know it’s me.”
Fox shrugged and grinned at him. “True, but now if I ever do that, I’m going to totally imagine that it is you.”
Winter threw his hands up in the air and paced into the kitchen.
“What? I’m proposing sex. A little fun. I’m not saying we date and get all the serious feelz for each other.” Winter stopped and glared over his shoulder at Fox, giving him hardcore stink-eye. “I’ve done the random hookup game too. It’s not like you fucking invented it.” Fox stopped and gasped suddenly. “Did you? I mean you’re old enough, right? Did you invent the random hookup? Because if you did, that—”
Winter quickly crossed the kitchen and placed his hand over Fox’s mouth. “Is there a point to all this rambling?”
He couldn’t help himself. He licked Winter’s palm. The vampire hissed and jerked his hand away.
“I’m saying I’m not going to fall under the spell of your sexy vampire wiles just because you fuck me.”
The hard glare steadily deteriorated before Fox’s eyes, and they were back to the vampire fighting his smile. “And I’m safe from your magic.”
Fox laughed. “I mean, my ass is pretty fucking amazing, but it ain’t magical.”
“And the biting?”
The idea of Winter sinking his teeth in him left Fox with mixed feelings if he were being completely honest, but he couldn’t deny that he felt safe with him as well. He was sure Winter wasn’t going to kill him while in the throes of passion.
“Well, you’ve had practice, right? Not gonna take too much.”
“Years of practice.” Winter lifted his hand and skimmed his fingers along Fox’s bare neck. Goose bumps broke out across his arms, and the blood immediately changed course to return to his dick. “I won’t hurt you.”
“Then fuck, yes.”
Winter licked his lips and his pupils were blown. Fox was convinced the vampire was about to bend him over the counter, fuck him, and bite him right there in the kitchen. And yes, Fox was totally down with that plan.
But his expression suddenly cleared. “What happens when you’re bitten?” Winter demanded.
Fox jerked back, stunned by the strange question. “What do you mean?”
“What happens to the vampire? What does your blood do?”
“I-I don’t know. I’ve never been bitten.”
Winter frowned and took a step away from Fox, which was the wrong direction. He didn’t want to put a halt to these wonderful plans. They needed to keep moving forward. Not tap the brakes. Definitely not go in reverse.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, following Winter deeper into the kitchen. The damn vampire was not getting away from him. Not after they got this close. “What happens when you drink from a human?”
“Nothing. It’s just nourishment.” He paused and frowned at Fox, but it wasn’t a look of disappointment. Rather, he appeared worried. “But when a vampire drinks from a werewolf, we receive enhanced healing. It could even impair us as if we’re intoxicated.”
“Whoa,” Fox breathed.
“Yes, but I don’t know what happens if we bite a witch. Maybe nothing.”
“Maybe something bad,” Fox said in a whisper. He got why Winter was being so cautious. Now was not a good time for them to be experimenting with such a thing. And he never wanted to do anything that hurt Winter. Even if only by accident.
