I move slowly, building up force as I fuck her ass. She’s moaning, calling my name, and I know she’s going to come soon. That knowledge makes the climax build in the base of my cock. My balls tighten, rising toward my body and I give a hard forward thrust, coming with a growl between my gritted teeth.

The come spurts from my cock, filling her ass and spilling down the inside of her thighs. I love seeing the slickness of my seed on her skin, marking her as mine.

Afterward, I take her to the outdoor shower and we lather one another’s bodies, kissing and laughing under the warm water as the steam rises into the night air around us.

We wake the following morning, buck naked on the bed, Mrs. Rosa’s voice calling us to breakfast. Laughing, we quickly tie on robes, and pad out to the veranda where we’re served buttery croissants with eggs and bacon and more fresh fruit.

I take her shopping that afternoon, holding hands as we walk past all the market stalls. I buy her a funny oversized straw hat, a silly cat keychain with googly eyes, and a teal and blue flowy swimsuit cover up.

We pick up little gifts for everyone back home. It feels so natural, to be with her like this, just shopping and taking it easy, finding presents for our friends and family. It makes me forget what life before Emmeline even felt like.

We swim in the pool when we get back, then dine on shrimp and steak, which is quickly becoming my baby’s favorite meal. We drink too much champagne, then walk the beach a little drunk, laughing and kicking the foam waves up at one another. I chase her down the beach, pinning her to the sandy shores and take her under the light of the moon.

Afterward, she looks so beautiful lying on the white sand, her skin tinged with blue from the night sky, the words slip from my mouth.

“I love you, Emmeline.”

She gives me a smile that makes my heart beat harder in my chest. “I love you, too.”

We spend the rest of the trip declaring our love to one another, in whispered words between our pillows, over mimosas at breakfast, in between kisses as we swim naked in our pool. When we aren’t making love, we take in all Fiji has to offer.

Snorkeling over the coral reefs, we swim alongside manta rays and sea turtles in the clear, warm water. Accompanied by experienced divers, we feed the local sharks in the waters of the lagoon. We rent a double kayak and paddle over the calm, blue waters. We spend a day hiking the rocky, muddy terrain of the jungle, getting sweaty and hot, then strip off our clothes and dive into a pool below a rushing waterfall. As we burst to the water’s surface and share an exhilarating kiss, I realize, I’ve never been this happy in my life.

Our last night in Fiji, we lie side by side on the bed, our fingers twined.

I stroke my thumb over the back of her hand. “It's our last night. Are you going to miss this?”

She gives a groan. “I can’t even imagine going back. The trip has been heaven.” She breaks her hand away, rising up on her elbow, looking down at me.

I stare up into her gorgeous eyes, but feel my shoulders tense as a cloud covers her beautiful face.

Why do I have a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach? She turns away for a moment, then turns back to me.

It grows heavier when she reaches up her hand, cupping my cheek. “Rawley, there’s something I need to tell you.”

“What?” What could she possibly need to tell me that has her gaze so heavy, her brow so worried? I lean up on my elbow, eye to eye with her. “What is it?”

She lets out a deep breath. “Soooo. I don’t want you to find this out from anyone else, before I can tell you. I got an apartment. One near the hospital, for my residency.”

“An apartment?” Why would she need an apartment when she lives with me. Fuck. She’s breaking up with me. In paradise. I run my hand through my hair. “Why? Are we moving too fast or something?”

She gives her head a shake but it’s not enough to reassure me. “No, no, it’s not that. I just need to focus, get into it the first few months.”

“Are you sure that’s all it is?”

She’s holding back.

She pulls further away. “Something from my past. We never really talked about me moving in with you. I had a bad experience living with a past boyfriend and it makes me leery to do it ever again. I got hurt really bad and I'm scared. I don’t want to go through that again.”
