“I thought you were going to spank me,” I groaned, hands squeezing a little tight.

Sandra, surprisingly, stopped. Her body seemed frozen, and when I raised my head, she was staring at me with wide, surprised eyes. Then, she laughed.

“You’re kinky,” she accused, though she looked amused. “Far from shy. Why didn’t I know that? Hmm, spanking though, I think we can do that later? Take me to bed, first. I’ve been waiting for this.”

Sandra gave me a sultry look, red lips curled into a coy smile, just like I’d imagined before, not that I could appreciate it at the moment. She took a step back, hands raised up to pull down the straps of her dress to strip, but I was still too surprised about what she’d said. I caught her hands, and she looked up at me.

“Is something wrong?” She asked, her lovely face perplexed.

“I’m just a little confused,” I said honestly. “Are you not playing out your text?”

Sandra mirrored my confused look, tilting her head to the side.

“What are you talking about? What text?”

I wasn’t stupid. It only took a second to realize what was going on. I’d gone completely soft, my mood completely ruined.

“I texted you,” I murmured. “494-4474, isn’t that your number? I’ve texted you a few times already.”

Sandra laughed. “Um, no, you haven’t been texting me, but you’ve been texting somebody. My number is 494-5474. I wrote it down for you, did you forget?”

Crap.

Fuck!

So, if it wasn’t Sandra, then who the hell was I dirty sexting? Why didn’t whoever it was say I’d gotten the wrong number?

The Sandra I’d been fantasizing about suddenly disappeared from my mind; only I didn’t know the image to replace her with.

I let Sandra’s arms go and went to grab my phone where I’d left it on my desk. I picked it up and checked the texts, then double-checked the number. How did I make a mistake? Sandra wrote her number down for me, although I was a little excited when I saved it on my phone.

So, I had proof of the person that had had me hot just from their texts. I needed to know who the other person was. The trouble was, it could be just anyone. Even worse, it could be a prank by someone. But I wanted to find out.

“I’m sorry, Sandra,” I said, turning back to her, my mind whirling as I searched for an excuse. “I forgot I was supposed to meet someone, and it was important. Can we try this some other time? I need to go.”

Sandra was gaping at me, but I didn’t blame her. Just a moment ago, I’d been all up for this, but finding out who I’d been talking to was more important. She sputtered as I gently led her out of the room and closed the door behind her.

Now, let’s find out who this mystery person is.Chapter Six

Angela“Can you please set the table, Dad?”

“Sure thing, honey. Dinner smells amazing.”

I smiled proudly as I turned back to the stove. I was very confident in my cooking because I only liked to eat nice things, and I didn’t go out to each much, so everything I made had to be amazing.

After Dad set two places on the table fit for five, I served and carried the food over. Dad sat at the head of the table, and I took the seat to his left. We both ignored the seat directly in front of me and to his right that had been empty for a while now.

“Go ahead and serve,” I offered, waiting for him.

He rubbed his hands, grinning as he eyed the dishes on the table.

“It also looks amazing; I don’t know what to start with first.”

I smiled as I watched him fill his plate. Ever since Mom died, Dad had been lonely. I tried to spend as much time with him as I could, especially since he was the only person that I still had contact with outside of the university. I hadn't made any new friends yet, and I didn’t have other relatives. The people at the university were friendly, but I didn’t think we were close enough to be hanging out outside of work yet.

It was somewhat pathetic that the only chance I had to spend around someone else outside of work was dinner with my dad.

I pushed those thoughts aside to worry about other problems.

“Did you know?” Dad started. “I went to a function at my old college last month. It’s hard to think just how many years have passed since then, nearly three decades! I met this girl that used to be in the same class as me; she was so bright back then and she caught my eye.” He sighed. “She was such a beauty but had a boyfriend back then. She’s widowed now, I think I’ve fallen in love again.”
