“HAPPY NEW YEAR!”
I lean in and press my lips to her ear. “You’ve just made me the happiest man alive.”
She shakes her head, surprising me. “I’m hoping that in nine months, you’ll be even happier.”
I frown, not understanding, but then the light bulb comes on, and I gawk down at her.
“Are you…?”
“Found out this morning,” she says and covers her belly with my hand. “So, we might want to get a move on with this wedding.”
I whoop and pull her into my arms, spinning her in a circle before kissing the hell out of her.
I’m going to spend the rest of my life with her. And we’ll start a new family together. A family that we both need.* * * *
