“Yes, I heard. And my question is still, huh?”

“I’ll make it worth your while.” Her face goes into my neck and she bites gently, her fingers slipping into my hair.

“How?” I want details.

“You want details?”

She read my mind. “Yes. Explicit details.”

“The loungers by the pool.”

My mind has her on one of those loungers in a second. I don’t need explicit details. My brain and my cock has it all figured out. “Let’s go swimming.” I push her off my body and take her hand.

“Ty”—she laughs, stumbling along behind me—“the wine.”

I hold up my full glass and keep my focus forward, my purpose to get us to the pool as soon as physically possible. Just as soon as I bypass the bedroom to grab a condom.

“We’ll take the wine.” I have her out of my apartment in a few easy strides, and down the stairs a few minutes later. Her glass is at her lips as we reach the far end of the pool, her eyes on me. It’s highly satisfying seeing that she’s not looking at the water with dread like she was last night. I seize the wine from her hand and place our glasses to the side of the lounger, quickly getting to the task of removing her clothes. “You actually want to try and swim today?” I ask as I pull her blouse up over her head and throw it on the lounger.

Her head cranes a little, looking past me. “Can I just ride you again?”

My hands pause on the zip of her skirt. “You want to rephrase that?”

“No.” She grins, taking her hands to mine and pushing me on. “It was relaxing lying on your back while you swam up and down.”

I laugh. “Glad you were comfortable.”

“You liked it, too. Don’t try to tell me you didn’t.” She steps out of her skirt and I cast it aside, letting her at the buttons of my shirt as I pull my tie off.

“I’d prefer to see you swim,” I say honestly, remembering the wonderment in her eyes at simply being in the water. That was a huge step—a step I helped with. Her excitement was infectious. I’m craving some more of that.

She finishes up on my buttons and pushes my shirt from my shoulders, cocking her head in admiration. “I’d prefer to look at this.”

I laugh softly, shrugging out of my shirt and unbuckling my belt. “Get your underwear off,” I order.

Her hands go straight to her back, though her eyes remain glued to my torso. “You’re the only one who uses the pool?”

“Since it’s mine, yes.”

“It’s all yours? What about the rest of the building?”

“It came exclusively with the penthouse.”

“Wow. Bet it cost a pretty penny.”

“Worth it though, don’t you think?” I kick my shoes and socks off, followed by my trousers.

“Guess so, since you can use it to seduce women.” Lainey helps herself to my boxers and pushes them down my thighs, bending as she goes.

“I prefer to use it to conquer their fear of water, actually. I have my looks, body, and charm to seduce women.”

Her eyes dart up to my face, and I grin cheekily. “Have you conquered many women’s fear of water?” She tugs at my boxers once they’re at my ankles, urging me to lift a foot in turn. Her subtle question has me smiling on the inside.

“None.” I’m mindful that I’m not just set on conquering Lainey’s fear of water. I’m also set on conquering her fear of men. “Only I have ever been in this pool.”

“No women before me?” The satisfaction on her face as she slowly rises to standing only drives me. She likes that thought. Is she aware she’s also the only woman who has ever had my head in chaos?

“No women before you,” I confirm, feeding her need as I slip my fingers into the sides of her knickers. “Does that please you?”

She shrugs, watching me as my face lowers down her front on my journey to ridding her of her underwear. “Might do.”

I smile and rest my lips on her tummy, looking up at her. “Only might?” My teeth sink into her flesh lightly, and her stomach concaves in an attempt to escape me.

Her lips are straight, clearly holding back a delighted grin. “What do you want me to say?”

“I want you to tell me you’re pleased. That you feel special because I’m extending a privilege to you I’ve never extended to any other woman before.” I toss her knickers aside and rise, dragging my palms up the outside of her thighs as I go. When I make it to her face, I slip my hands onto her arse, cupping the cheeks possessively. “Because this is my quiet place, and I’ve never wanted to share it with anyone before.”

She swallows on a tiny nod, reaching for my shoulders when I hoist her up my body. Those wonderful legs curl naturally around my waist, pressing our bodies together. “But you want to share it with me,” she says, gazing into my eyes. I breathe in, feeling a sense of understanding pass between us.
