“Lexi, look at me.” I wipe my eyes and look up.
“What's wrong baby? Don’t you want to marry me?”
“I do Saxson. So much. But what is your family going to think of a girl who belongs to no one? No family, or friends here for me. For that matter, we don’t know anything about one another. They are going to think we are crazy.” To my utter horror, I am crying. My head in his chest, bawling my eyes out.
“Princess, would having your family here make you feel better?”
“No. I mean not really. Brides usually have family with them that love them. My parents don’t love me. They only love what they think I could get them…. A connection to the Smith family money via Jared. There will be no one there from my side that simply loves me.” I cry more into his chest. His arms tighten around me and even that makes me cry more.
“Shhh. Baby don’t cry. Look at me. From the moment I saw you, you belonged to me and after tomorrow, you will belong to the Maldonado Family. You will always belong. So will our children.” He says as he rubs my stomach. It isn’t until this very moment that it hits me, that all of the sex we have had over the past few hours, we have used no protection. I look down to where his hand is and put mine over his looking him in his eyes. “You understand Princess.”
My heart begins to soar as I realize, he is right. I will have a family of my own with this beautiful man. Fuck everyone else. “I understand, Saxson.” I lean into him and kiss him, letting my tongue lead the way. My body immediately goes up in flames. I am seconds from stripping right here, when I hear a whirr above us. Reluctantly, but with much curiosity, I ask him. “What’s that?”
“I don’t know.” He says as he smirks at me letting me know instantly he is lying. “Why don’t we go find out.” I jump off his lap and make to run out the door.
“Get your ass back here. Where do you think you are going like that?” I look down and my face heats up. Crap. I forgot I was in his shirt and nothing else. “Put on some fucking clothes Lexi. The fuck you trying to turn me into?” I run up to him and kiss his lips.
“Such a grumpy old man.” I say and wink as I run into the room. It takes me less than three minutes to pull his shirt over my head, put on a pair of underwear, and grab another dress. I brush my hair out and run out the door before he can say anything else. I am still perplexed about who the hell it could be. The man just sprung a wedding on me, so with him, no telling.
“Lexi!!!!” I hear the screech before I see where it is coming from.
“Lara?!? Oh my God!!!!” We run to each other jumping up and down and hugging. I am sure it shows our age, but I don't care. My best friend is here to take some of the sadness away from what is supposed to be a beautiful day.
“What are you doing here?” I ask her, trying to stop the tears from falling.
“Well, apparently, that sexy man of yours called his brother and told him to get me and bring me here because you two are GETTING MARRIED!!!!” She screams that last part and starts jumping again which in turn makes me excited too. We literally are like doing a trampoline or something bouncing around, until I see Sax and some seriously hot guy walking toward us. I release Lara and walk over to him, noting that Lara hasn’t come with me and his brother hasn’t stopped leering at her either. I turn to look at her, curious about what I am seeing and note that her head is down, and her cheeks are flushed as hell. Interesting.
“Come here brat.” Sax calls me over to him and I continue making my way. When I reach him, I punch him in the stomach for calling me a brat and then I do something I know he is going to hate.
“What can I do for you my Sexson?” The look of defiance I am sure is showing. But I definitely hit my mark. His eyes grow dark as his dislike from the nickname reveals itself.
“What did you call me?” he growls at me.
“Well I figured, if you could call me a brat, I could you Sex-son. Sounds fair. Wouldn’t you say?” I turn to address his brother who lets out a belly laugh, shaking his head at our antics.
“Hi, my name is Alexis, but you may call me Lexi.” I extend my hand to him, choosing to ignore the brooding man beside me.
