I wink at her.
“Sounds perfect.”
The rest of the trip is mostly quiet. There are a few comments here and there about the lush scenery with the tall trees and imposing crest of mountains. But mostly, we listen to the music and enjoy each other’s company. It’s a beautiful day, and I get to spend time with Britney, so what could be better?
There are only two other cars in the parking lot when we arrive. I grab a bottle of water from my backseat and pass one to Britney before we head out.
“Ready?” I ask.
She sighs and steps out of the car, taking a deep breath.
“Yes. It’s really beautiful out here,” she marvels. “So peaceful.”
I nod.
“Yeah, I love being out in nature. It’s totally different than being in the city.”
She giggles.
“Although our little town could hardly count as a city. But it is gorgeous today. Thank you for bringing me here.”
I kiss her cheek. “Thank you for coming with me.”
The first mile of the hike is challenging. The increase in elevation isn’t crazy, but I can feel it in my thighs and glutes. I’ve done it a few times, but this is Britney’s first time. She pants a bit, sweat soaking that tiny t-shirt. I want nothing but to strip her of her clothes in order to let those curves out, but I wisely hold my tongue, instead choosing to talk about saner things.
“I heard this podcast yesterday that I wanted to mention,” I begin innocuously.
“Yeah? What was it about?” Britney’s breathing is heavy, and sweat runs at her temples, but she’s smiling.
“Cults.”
Britney laughs. “I do love cults.”
“You do? Then I’ll send it to you to listen to. It’s basically about five different cults from different time periods, including the Branch Davidians and Heaven’s Gate. It goes over their similarities and differences and how they each got started. It’s really interesting.”
“I’d love to listen to it. Then we can discuss it.”
“Perfect. I’ll email you the link.”
I wish Britney had a smartphone because it would make communication a lot easier. Right now, I can’t even text her on her little dummy phone. We email back and forth, and she calls me when Joey isn’t around, but it’s frickin’ annoying. I almost bought her a smartphone last week, but I don’t want to be too pushy. Of course, I’m going to shower her in material goods as soon as she gets more comfortable with the idea. Why not? I adore the curvy girl, and want her to have everything. But right now, Britney’s still not ready to accept my generosity.
“I need to stop for a minute,” she pants, leaning over with her hands on her knees. “Man, this is killing me.”
We’re about a quarter mile in, and her face is flushed like she’s embarrassed.
“No worries, sweetheart. Take as much time as you need.”
She takes a long swig of water. “Sorry. I’m really out of shape.”
“Don’t worry about it, seriously. I don’t mind stopping.”
“Thank you for being so understanding.”
“Of course. It’s nice to play hooky sometimes. I swear, ShopMore was my life before you came along.”
Britney smiles but then winces a bit.
“Are things still bad at the store?”
I nod.
“Yeah, things are bad for everyone. And to make matters worse, my suppliers are struggling to get products to me. Companies aren’t working at full capacity, so we’re going to run low on lots of stuff soon, like toilet paper. It’s going to be fucking ugly.”
“I’m sorry, that sucks. I wish there was something I could do.”
I smile roughly and grasp her hand. “Just being here is enough. But there is something you could do, actually.”
She nods immediately.
“Of course. I’m happy to help any way I can. What do you need?”
I cock a brow at her.
“Well, you’re sweaty and hot, and I’m sweaty and hot too. I’ve taken off my shirt, so why don’t you take off your yoga pants and top, sweetheart? The breeze feels good, and there’s no one on this mountain but us. No one will see.”
She stares at me, her curves trembling a bit.
“You can’t be serious.”
I waggle my brows at her.
“Yes, I am. Those yoga pants look uncomfortable, honey. They’re tight, they go all the way down to your ankles, and they’re soaked through with sweat. Why not take them off? You’re wearing panties underneath, aren’t you?”
She goes red in the face.
“Yes, but only panties! You think I should stride around in just my panties and a sports bra?”
I shrug and smirk again.
“Why not? It’s nothing I haven’t seen before.”
She rolls her eyes. “Oh you!” But then, Britney reaches for the waistband of her pants and begins rolling them down her thighs. I watch, dry-mouthed, as her long legs are exposed, creamy and thick. Then she reaches for the hem of her t-shirt and pulls it over her head until her giant orbs pop out, already spilling out of her sports bar.
