Reuben wiggled to get down, so Sven set him on the floor.

“She acts like babysitting is a hard job,” Geoffrey said as he plopped down on the floor with Reuben who smiled up at him. “You’re going to be a perfect little angel, aren’t you, sweetie?”

“Hi!”

“Hi to you, too.” Geoffrey had shopped for tonight and filled a plastic laundry basket with lots of toys. He pulled it toward them and laughed when Reuben clapped his hands and dug in.

Sven unloaded the snacks and juice from the diaper bag, then came to join them on the floor. He folded his massive frame down and put his hand on Geoffrey’s thigh. He was always touching Geoffrey, which was a constant source of amusement for their friends because Geoffrey was known as the handsy one.

But these days, he was handsy only with his boyfriend, and he couldn’t be happier about it. There was so much of him to handle, too. God, Geoffrey loved his big guy.

He leaned over and kissed him, then cracked up when Reuben got up to toddle to Sven and kiss him, too. He yanked on his hair. Sven’s grin was like sunshine as he winked at Geoffrey. “He’s so affectionate.”

“He’s well-loved and he knows it. That’s a wonderful thing.”

“You know who else is well loved? Me.”

“That you are, babe.” Geoffrey gave him a cheeky smile. “So very, very loved.”

“You sure you don’t mind spending Valentine’s night like this? I probably should have planned something romantic. The guys at work all had big plans.”

“These are perfect plans.” Geoffrey looked into his eyes. “We have romance all the time. Giving your sister a night with her husband is a great thing to do. Plus, we both love this little guy.”

Two hours later, Geoffrey was sure parenthood must come with an extra injection of energy. Reuben never sat still. They tried different toys and nothing worked, so Geoffrey ended up following him around as he toddled to…everything. The little boy just kept going like the Energizer bunny.

By the time they got him sleepy and into the crib they’d set up in the guest room, Geoffrey was ready to fall over with exhaustion. He carried the monitor out into the living room that was still covered in toys. He just wanted a place to collapse, but it seemed Sven had a different idea.

He tugged Geoffrey down onto the couch for some serious kissing. God, he loved Sven’s lips. He threw himself into the kiss with a surprising burst of energy; it was Valentine’s Day after all.

Sven rolled onto his back and maneuvered Geoffrey on top of him. It was one of his favorite places to be. Sven opened his legs and Geoffrey nestled between them, feeling the hard ridge of Sven’s cock. He rubbed against him, swallowing the groan Sven let rumble from his throat.

He pulled back to look down at his man, knowing his affection shone in his eyes. “Have I told you how much I love living with you?”

Sven cupped the sides of his head and softly kissed him. “I didn’t know I could be this happy.”

“We’re a couple of mushy assholes, aren’t we?”

“Nothing wrong with that.” He smoothed his hand down to Geoffrey’s ass and squeezed.

Geoffrey gasped and rutted against him. Sven turned until he had Geoffrey pressed into the back of the couch, his kisses growing deeper and wetter.

“Hi!”

“Reuben!” Geoffrey jerked up and smoothed his hair before scrambling out from behind Sven. His foot came down on a toy that let out a high-pitched, tortured squeak, and Geoffrey fell over in his haste to get off it. From the messy menagerie, he stared at the baby standing at the entrance to the kitchen with his socks in his hand. “How did you get out of the crib?”

Chuckling, Sven rolled off the couch and walked to scoop up the little boy. Reuben immediately started tugging on his beard. He sat him on the counter and pulled on his socks. “Uh, uh, uh, it’s nighty-night time,” he said in a low voice that sent shivers down Geoffrey’s spine. He took Reuben back to the bedroom.

It was several minutes later, when Geoffrey was stretched out on the couch, that he heard the toilet in the bathroom by the guest room flush. When Sven finally came back into the room, he was frowning. “I have no idea how he got out of that crib.”

Geoffrey bit his lip and pointed at the now-barefoot-again toddler behind Sven. “Well, he did it again.”

Sven turned around.

“Hi!” This time Reuben lifted his hands up into the air.

Sven stared down at him, obviously perplexed. “How did you do that?”

“Poo!” was all Reuben said.

Geoffrey walked to them and grimaced when he caught the scent. “Let’s get him changed and back to sleep, then hide in the bathroom—see how he’s doing this.”
