“I’m going to need a few minutes,” Garrett said, stroking her hair. “Double penetration sex apparently takes the starch right out of me along with every bit of my energy.”
“Me too.” Seth rubbed his palm along her leg. “That was truly amazing.”
“No kidding.”
Jessica laughed. “You’re both perfect. I’m so glad I found you. That falling at your feet maneuver worked out well for me.”
Chapter Eighteen
Two weeks later
Jessica drove alone on a golf cart to work now that she’d started a more regular routine at the hotel. Each day she had an early meeting with Isabelle now. Since Lilianna didn’t come in to work for another hour, they didn’t drive together much anymore. But they still had a standing date for lunch several times a week.
To say she was on top of the world was truly the hugest understatement of the year. Jessica practically wanted to break into song, she was so fucking happy. Every day she woke up even happier than the day before. She loved two men, and they loved her. They’d made a home for her, and they also made it very easy to live with them.
And it wasn’t like they had sex morning, noon, and night either. They simply lived together without awkwardness, anxiety, or apology. Seth and Garrett made everything easy.
Sometimes they watched movies at night until they were all yawning by the time the credits rolled. Sometimes they fired up the barbeque grill outside on the back porch and discussed life on earth in general over smoky grilled steaks, fire roasted potatoes, and wine, staring at the beautiful night sky.
Seriously, her life was so perfect these days it was a miracle she stayed tethered to the earth even with gravity pulling her down. She was utterly delighted the past several weeks living with these two amazing men.
Also, she adored her new job. The early morning meeting with Isabelle was one she looked forward to each day. At the end of Isabelle’s shift and the beginning of Jessica’s, they spent half an hour discussing everything pertinent regarding the hotel, the guests, and planned more for the future.
Today they were also finishing up a proposal to give to Gray for a destination wedding package idea they designed together. Jessica was so excited, feeling like they had lots of resources close at hand at their disposal to make a true go of the plan.
She asked Gray to meet them both early tomorrow morning so together they could knock his socks off.
Jessica pressed harder on the cart’s go pedal, hitting the top speed of 20 mph. She wasn’t late. She was, however, always anxious to get to work these days. In all honesty, she hadn’t felt so excited to get to work for quite a long time.
Yesterday, Isabelle had commented that even though she worked the night shift, she was happier than she’d ever been at the Chicago Barrington hotel where they’d both been for years. Jessica agreed exuberantly.
The memory made her foot push harder on the pedal, but the golf cart didn’t go any faster. The vehicle was already moving at top speed.
She arrived with ten minutes to spare, meeting at their usual place in the employee conference room. Isabelle came in two minutes later.
The first thing they discussed was how much they loved the treats Victoria had come up with for the turndown service. The guests had been enjoying them.
They’d tried six or seven different wonderful treats before settling on two because they couldn’t narrow it down to one. They had a luscious mint-flavored chocolate in the shape of a cowboy hat with a tiny candy star on the front and also a caramel-filled chocolate in the shape of a cowboy boot complete with a little candy spur attached at the heel. They’d been very well received by the guests.
“Where are we with capacity?” she asked Isabelle.
“Higher than initially anticipated. We’re well over the fifty percent we expected, heading to nearly seventy percent filled as of last night.”
“Excellent. What else do we need to cover?”
“Not much. The alternate night clerk checked in a double room booking while I was out eating dinner last night. The guests in these two rooms have proven to be a bit needy since their arrival.” She rolled her eyes with a particular look that Jessica knew immediately meant, the newest guests are demanding, high maintenance, and will likely need lots of extra special pampering the entire time they are in residence.
